I did it! I bought the jacket! I couldn't stop myself from looking at it every time I went into J.Crew. It was like it had a spell on me or something. I must admit, it was worth every penny! *Sigh*, until next time...

Button, Button, Who's Got the Button?
This was one of my favorite games to play with my Mema when I was younger. Anytime I see a button jar I think of her. I've always wanted to have jars filled with certain colors. Thanks to Etsy, I can. It makes me get all warm inside, and it truly makes me happy. It's the little things.

December is nearing and I'm in desperate need of a new winter jacket. This one will do just fine. I've never been one to really like the longer length jackets, but as I get older I'm starting to realize these look much better with dresses and skirts. Los Angeles has thinned out my Ohio blood and anything under 6o degrees will make my bones ache. Time to start counting my pennies if I want this little beaut.

I have a confession to make. I have a shoe addiction. Anytime I go into a store I find myself instantly going to the shoe selection. The thing is, if I had all the right outfits to go with these shoes it would be no problem.  I can absolutely blame my mother for this one. You should see her closet. Filled. FILLED. It's also funny that I am in constant want of what she wore 20 years ago. I'm pretty sure she owned these. For all I know, they still might be in her closet. Fingers crossed.

Isn't this fabric wonderful? I love it. Yellow is one of my favorite colors, and my eyes are instantly drawn to it. There's something about it. Maybe its vibrance.. or maybe it just makes me feel alive. Whatever the reason, I could wear it everyday. I am constantly searching for vintage fabrics. I think its quality is so much better than what we have today. It's hard to explain why, but it's true, don't you think? Although I sew a lot, I am constantly debating if spending over $10 a yard is "worth it". Ugh. Why do I do this? After all, most things take less than 2 yards, and in the end is cheaper than the average clothing buy. Oh the life of a penny pincher...

I'm not one to spend $25 on eyeliner, but this is one I dream about putting on my eyelids. My mother is a faithful Lancome user, and I'm tempted to steal all her makeup whenever I visit home. There's something about using a good liner and mascara. It truly makes your lids feel beautiful.

I've never been that big of a fan of the puffy vest, but my boyfriend has changed my mind. I want to wear this camping... or with those boots below. The whole "I look like I'm wearing my boyfriend's clothes" is a cute look every now and then, and I think this is a must have in that clothing collection. Hello Fall. So glad to see you.

Most people don't know this about me, but I love Lands' End. It's true. I just recently have fallen in love with these. My dad would be proud. I grew up hating them. HATING. He would show up at my sporting events with these boots while wearing shorts. Yes, shorts. I've gotten over that embarrassment, and admit these are smokin'. I wanna wear these with wool socks, opaque tights, and a cute little dress. Following my father's footsteps I guess. Who would have thought?

One thing I absolutely adore are vintage patterns. I could buy them all day. In bulk. How great would this skirt look with a little blouse? If I had a choice, I'd wear this everyday. There's something I adore about the late 50's/early 60's. I feel like everyone looked so classy, and with this pattern, I'm one step closer.
